Logo of Squarespace Website Builder - DigiBozz

Squarespace

One of my top recommendations would be Squarespace. You can easily and quickly create beautiful websites with this intuitive website creator. One of the top website builders on the market today is Squarespace. There are more than 100 templates available with Squarespace. Moreover, they are mobile responsive by default.

PROS

  • The built-in features are excellent
  • A selection of contemporary designs
  • Perfect for portfolios of creative work
  • Responsive Site Templates
  • Unlimited Storage Space
  • Supportive Live Chat

CONS

Squarespace is an incredibly mainstream website builder that a large number of people have used to build up their online brand.

Squarespace stands apart for one fundamental reason: it is incredibly simple to make excellent sites for even the most clueless beginner. Squarespace is worth reviewing as one of the top website builders available today.

In our review of the best website builders, we meticulously went through every website builder to decide the Twelve top decisions for various necessities and use cases.

I’ve been building sites for quite a long time now, so you can bet I know some things about what makes an incredible website builder. When you read it, you can settle on the most informed choice.

Definitely, Squarespace is the best website builder for designers, artists, and eCommerce stores that need to create engaging websites with unbelievable visuals with minimal fuss. This settles on it a brilliant decision for entrepreneurs that need an advantage outwardly yet probably won’t have the financial plan or skill for everything.

Since Squarespace is a hosted solution, you don’t need to get into any additional steps to discover a server or install the software. You can make a flawlessly designed site directly on your browser, all in one place.

Primary concern? Squarespace is extraordinary for innovative individuals that like to work with templates and a style editor that allows you to customize even the smallest site details. In any case, there are significant advantages and disadvantages to consider.

Features

Squarespace isn’t just a pretty face: it has the best quality features of any builder, as well. For instance, with Squarespace you can:

  • Install multiple templates to work on at once
  • Use video backgrounds
  • Add custom codes
  • Upload and share music
  • Link your social accounts

Squarespace’s huge scope of features is completely developed in-house. This implies you’ve ensured a significant level of quality and security and can appreciate having all you require readily available.

Assuming you need to optimize and expand your site, you can utilize Squarespace Extensions to coordinate with a scope of third parties like Printful, Quickbooks, or ShipStation. Squarespace’s third-party extensions are an extraordinary method of developing your site without upgrading your plan.

Design

Squarespace has the best quality designs of any website builder available. With sleek, sophisticated, modern templates, it makes really stunning sites. Ideal for creatives and those looking for genuine customization, Squarespace realizes how to make your site look great.

You can easily switch your template, even whenever you’ve published your site, and can even work on more than one template simultaneously.

Pricing

Squarespace gives a 14-day free trial, so you can give its builder out absolutely risk-free. After that, it has four premium plans to look over, going from $12 to $40 each month (charged every year). The highest two plans unlock advanced eCommerce functions.

#2. Zyro

Best for Beginners

Pricing Range: $2.90 – $29.80 per month
Logo of Zyro Website Builder

Zyro

Zyro is one of the best website builders on the market. We found that they were the cheapest website builder on our list because their drag & drop website builders are easy to use and they offer free hosting. With Zyro website builder, you can set up a website without any experience with design or coding. They provide powerful design tools that make building visually stunning websites easy for anyone.

PROS

  • Excellent Uptime
  • Easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface
  • Useful AI tools
  • Included logo maker
  • Free SSL certificate
  • The free version also available

CONS

  • Free accounts lack add-ons
  • Can’t schedule blog posts

Developing a website from the scratch isn’t always possible or entirely reasonable. You can easily build a personal or lightweight business website with site-building services like Zyro. The Zyro platform offers site builders, eCommerce tools, and stand-out features that reduce the need for professional assistance, including a copy generator and logo-builder. Zyro unfortunately does not allow switching between templates. With Zyro, everything gets done. And it’s not very expensive.

Zyro is an excellent website building service that now features eCommerce, AI-powered tools, and an adaptable, easy-to-use editor. However, its integrations and template selections aren’t as extensive as the competition, and the free site alternative is no longer available. Let’s assume you need a website builder with more blogging flexibility and business-friendly features.

E-Commerce Features

Zyro‘s eCommerce tools offer numerous money-making opportunities. With those choices, you can create a store that supports one of more than a dozen languages, and have it generate automatic shipping estimates based` on clients’ IP addresses, perform real-time shipment tracking, offer discounts, and enable favorites or wish lists.

Accepting payments is a major part of eCommerce, so Zyro gives you numerous ways to do just that. Clients can pay for merchandise utilizing PayPal, Stripe, 2Checkout, and many different choices.

Features

Zyro’s most great features are its sales tools – beginning with the fact that both of its eCommerce plans are totally commission-free. That implies you will keep 100% of the money you make in sales. Furthermore, Zyro’s eCommerce plans offer almost 50 different payment options for online shoppers, including PayPal and American Express.

But regards to non-eCommerce features, such as marketing and SEO, Zyro falls a little short of the competition. You can do the basics, such as editing alt tags and meta titles, yet there’s no keyword support or any dedicated SEO integrations.

However, Zyro separates itself from the pack a little bit with a unique set of artificial intelligence (AI) tools that work with its website builder. Its AI writer tool will generate SEO-friendly copy just dependent on a couple of expansive subjects fitting your personal preference, while its AI logo maker can help you launch your website’s branding.

Design

Zyro offers 127 template designs to choose from, or you can begin customizing from scratch with a blank template.

There is a lot of clean lines and a stylish, modern appearance to the templates themselves. Zyro makes it easy to design websites. Using its drag-and-drop builder, you’re guided along the way, making faultless design decisions virtually impossible.

Zyro doesn’t have very customizable templates. It’s a section-based editor, and you’re not allowed to modify the layout much from what you choose initially. A live site can also be changed once it’s launched, so you need to stick with the design once it’s live.

Zyro’s Plans and Prices

Zyro offers an impressive 30-day money-back guarantee, so you’ll have plenty of time to decide whether to use it or not. There is no free plan, but four-price plans are available starting at $2.90 per month. Getting started selling online starts at $9.90 per month with Zyro’s e-commerce plans.

The Zyro platform does have one major flaw, which is that after your first period, prices go up so that $2.90 plan actually costs $22.90 – which is incredibly expensive in comparison to similar plans from other builders.

#3. Weebly

Best for Small Businesses

Pricing Range: free – $26 per month
Logo of Weebly Website Builder - DIgiBozz

Weebly

Weebly is an excellent website builder. The resulting site is sleek and professional. It does not require a lot of effort. Besides free websites, Weebly also provides advanced and personalized plans that work best for your business.

PROS

  • Large app store for developing your site
  • Build-in SEO guides
  • Assign access to staff members

CONS

  • Restricted scope for customization
  • Not great for multilingual sites

Weebly is another notable website builder that offers a free forever plan. In fact, this plan made my list of the best free website builders on the market today.

Sadly, the free plan doesn’t include eCommerce abilities. However, you can still use it to try out the Weebly platform before you upgrade to a paid subscription.

Their eCommerce website builder plans are still the absolute most minimal-priced ones out there. That makes Weebly one of the most reasonable choices you could look at.

Here are the best things about Weebly:

  • Basic and simple to use – Weebly has an easy interface with drag-and-drop mechanics that simply work. Everything feels normal and intuitive. It likewise assists that they have an onboarding technician with email and popup clarifications when you begin.
  • Migration – If you choose you need to have your own site, Weebly makes it simple for you to take your site off its platform.
  • Affordable – Compared to other generalist website builders, Weebly has quite possibly the most reasonable pricing structures.
  • Extraordinary customer support – Weebly has an amazing customer support team who are active all days of the week. They commonly answer within 1 day by email or significantly faster by means of their live chat or phone lines.

Features

In our research, Weebly was number one when it came to features. It has more built-in features than Squarespace and combines this with an amazing application store. This settles on it a top choice for developing your online business.

Weebly accompanies some extraordinary contributions to blogging tools, as well as built-in SEO guides to assist you with optimizing your site for Google.

Design

Weebly’s plans aren’t pretty much as smooth as Squarespace’s, yet everyone is stylish and thoroughly examined. There are more than 50 themes to choose from in total, and you can change your template whenever even after publishing your site. This makes any redesigns very simple later on!

Weebly is a drag-and-drop website builder, although it offers less creative liberty than its rival. Weebly has more organized templates: this makes it very easy to create a site assuming you need more guidance on the design of your pages, however, it can feel limiting if you’re after complete creative control.

Pricing

Weebly has a free plan you can use to build and publish your site and has three premium plans beginning from just $6 each month (charged every year). You can sell online with all of Weebly’s paid plans, settling on it as a reasonable choice for small companies and personal bloggers.

#4. SITE123

Best for live chat assistance and support

Pricing Range: free – $5.80 per month
Logo of SITE123 Website Builder - DIgiBozz

SITE123

SITE123 has a lot of features including e-commerce, mobile-responsive templates, and is very user-friendly. You can use it to create a personal website, a business site, or even an online store with a few products if you wish.

PROS

  • The app market is easy for anyone to use
  • The templates are fully mobile and tablet compatible
  • Exceptional customer support, especially with live chat templates

CONS

  • The quality of some features lags behind
  • As soon as you launch your site, you cannot change templates

We are constantly changing the way we create websites. It used to be necessary to code your entire website from scratch several years ago.

Eventually, website builders were born, allowing everyday users to create websites through drag-and-drop tools.

Nowadays, you can create a website for yourself by simply answering a few questions about the type of website you wish!

Creating a website is easier and faster than ever before with Site123, a website builder at the forefront of innovation.

They provide well-designed templates, easy-to-integrate apps, and allow you to sell products on your website.

Not only that, but they also have some of the most powerful help and support features available.

Does it fit your needs? We use it ourselves, as do people just like you. Let’s put it through its paces and see what it can do…

Ease of Use

A Site123 template is generated by asking you a couple of questions, then based on the information you provided, it generates a template with relevant features.

Website Builder Expert likes to know what our users think, too, so we asked you if it seemed straightforward enough.

Hence, we asked regular people to use Site123 and create their own websites, and then tell us what they thought.

The numbers back up the result of their rating of how easy (or hard) different things were to do.

It was easy to edit text, add images, and embed a contact form for 100 percent of participants.

Seventy-five percent of participants even reported no difficulty completing slightly more complex tasks, including personalizing the navigation bar, integrating social media accounts, and making their location visible.

Who is best for site123?

Blogging

Site123 provides you with a lot of really great and essential features that will help you create your blog. You may also provide an RSS feed to your readers, as well as for analytics and social bookmarking.

Despite that, it isn’t perfect. Site123 will not be able to help you with display categories, archiving, or integrating a comments section if those features are important to your blog.

WordPress is your best option if all you wanted was a blog – it’s explicitly designed for that.

Weebly or Squarespace are good options to consider if you want to blog on your website. Site123 does not have these features.

Business & Ecommerce

Site123’s suitability for business and/or e-commerce is highly dependent on your specific requirements.

With only a few clicks, you can create a professional-looking business site showing what your company is all about. Then you’ll be hard-pressed to come up with something more substantial.

Site123 has email marketing capabilities, as well as the ability to use CTAs (Call To Actions).

The ‘Professional’ and ‘Gold’ plans also include eCommerce functionality, while the ‘Professional’ and ‘Gold’ plans offer advanced eCommerce features.

Adding coupons and selling digital products are two of these advanced features.

Although however, over the long run, this makes selling products a challenge due to the lack of real financial eCommerce tools – including automatic invoicing and payment tracking.

There is a good reason why Site123 is an excellent option for basic business pages and products that are not too complex. An even more powerful solution, such as Shopify or Bigcommerce, would be the best choice.

Personal

Site123 really shines in this situation. Besides being an excellent value, it’s easy to use and comes with excellent support (but more on that later).

Site123 is perhaps the best option available on the market right now if you lack confidence in your own technical abilities.

Whatever your website is for, Site123 has you covered, whether it’s a photography site, your band’s website, or an online CV.

There are several templates available, each with its own unique features depending on what your website is for.

Scalability

We have a great blog and eCommerce features, mobile-friendly templates, and great customer support to help you grow.

In contrast, many of its features have limited functionality, meaning that it isn’t a good choice for businesses that are aiming to grow rapidly.

Sites for personal use are great. Small businesses are great. Those looking to scale up their business with a powerful website builder may not be the best choice.

Weebly has some scalable tools and is currently working on improving its eCommerce capabilities so you can grow with your business.

You can conquer your competition with Shopify or BigCommerce, both of which were made specifically for online shopping.

Pricing

You must first understand that Site123’s pricing plans vary based on your length of commitment.

Three-month, one-year, two-year, and three-year time periods are available.

In general, the more time you spend with us, the less your monthly bill will be. The loyalty discount can be considered a discount for loyal customers.

Next up: what are you actually getting for your money?

The Site123 plan is free for starters. The package includes unlimited website creation and publishing, 500MB storage, and one gigabyte of bandwidth. The results aren’t bad at all.

With only 500MB of bandwidth, you cannot add videos to your website, and content and traffic could be limited.

The Site123 branding will be included in your subdomain as well as on all your site’s pages.

A premium plan is a wise decision if you want people to take your website seriously. You can determine which plan is best for you by looking at the image below, which tells you exactly what each plan provides.

Storage and bandwidth are increasing with each plan. For this reason, the higher plans are more suited to businesses who have extensive media on their site (such as photographers), or who anticipate high traffic on their site.

eCommerce is no different. On the side, you may be interested in selling a couple of items a month. The Gold and Professional plans, on the other hand, are best suited to those who are serious about email marketing and selling.

#5. Strikingly

Excellent value for money

Pricing Range: free – $59 per month (Billed Annually)
Logo of Strikingly Website Builder - DIgiBozz

Strikingly

Strikingly is a powerful website builder that excels when creating single-page layouts. Because they give the user an overview without having to click through several pages, these designs have become rather popular. It's as simple as scrolling up and down.

PROS

  • Plans starts from just $8/month
  • Sell on product on the free plan
  • Perfect for new projects
  • Easy-to-use site-building tools
  • Free tier

CONS

  • Not suitable for complex sites
  • Can’t categorize lots of content

There’s good news, though: the way in which websites are designed is changing. Strikingly believes that everyone is capable of creating their own website.

Founded in 2012, Strikingly’s mission is to make the internet accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technical knowledge. Both small businesses and individuals can benefit from their free and fast hosting services.

Strikingly works for us and we have people like you using it too.

Despite its simplicity, Strikingly provides a wide selection of templates and creative, if basic, designs. In terms of features, it does have a few unique features that make it a good option for beginners, especially when it comes to competing with more established brands such as Wix or Weebly.

The company isn’t the largest or most popular out there, but it treats its customers well and offers really reasonable prices. Despite their sleek design, the templates don’t allow much creative control, putting speed above editing.

Strikingly might be a good option for you, if you want a simple design with some basic features!

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Strikingly?

When you are choosing a website builder, you should consider ease of use, especially if you are a beginner. It’s also important that it works well for your website and gives you a lot of enjoyment to work with regularly.

A person does not pass their driving test and rushes into buying the most attractive supercar he sees, only to find out that it is impractical and cannot be operated.

What are some ways that we can tell whether a website builder is easy to use? Let’s see how they perform! Our test subjects are just like you, so we see how they like them. We’re able to really grasp how easy each website builder is to use with scores, notes, and hands-on experience!

Strikingly did well, but how did it do?

We evaluated Strikingly’s ease of use and found it to be fairly average, despite its focus on simplicity, clarity, and accessibility. The fact that they are focusing on beginners is surprising. According to our research, most people wanted a more intuitive user interface with better creative control over their website.

However, we found the templates to be less useful in branding, design, and user experience, despite their clean and attractive appearance.

The first impression here isn’t the best, but it’s worth noting that there are some pleasant aspects too. There is nothing wrong with their templates, though they do focus on how fast your site can be up and running, and that’s where they fall short.

Here’s how it works. You can edit the text and images in the templates already laid out, which makes things quite simple. Most people reported getting 80% of their work done easily, including writing texts and editing features like maps and forms.

You can, however, run into some problems when you start touching the template’s limits and start customizing the site. An easy way to create a website versus the frustration of not having the creative freedom of your own website lies in this line.

It’s important to note that not everyone wants complete creative control. The template allows you to customize your site without spending a lot of time or (even) money.

A simple website can be set up quickly without causing you headaches for weeks. There will not be anything fancy or extravagant, but it will get the job done and fast.

Features

A powerful website can’t be built with Strikingly because the software lacks the features needed. If, on the other hand, you’re simply trying to build a simple website, it will include everything you need right at your fingertips, such as:

  • ‘Simple Store’ feature – Sell up to 500 products with the free plan or a total of 1,000 with the premium plan
  • Integrate your website with social media for increased exposure
  • Create and share your own content using blogging tools

An RSS feed and comments are both available on Strikingly, a blogging platform. Because of this, it is an excellent substitute for WordPress, especially for beginners. Strikingly is more simple to use since you do not have to code, and you can easily add text.

Design

As far as I can tell, there is no free option for strikingly’s a website builder. It’s great if you’re looking to build something that shows up quickly, but it’s often restricted if you’re trying to build something complex.

Strikingly is designed to make it easy to use by anyone. Having a customized and easy-to-edit website template makes creating, customizing, and editing it a breeze – however, pushing the template to its limits quickly becomes frustrating.

Changing templates is one of the best things about building with Strikingly. It is possible to switch templates even after your website has gone live, and your content will automatically reformat itself to keep your site looking good.

Pricing

Strikingly is great value for money, as we’ve mentioned a few times. But what exactly do you get for your chosen plan, and how much will you have to pay for it?

Strikingly offers a free, forever-free plan. So what are you getting from this? The solution is unlimited free sites, a domain ending in “strikingly.com”, 5GB bandwidth per month, one product per website in a Simple Store, and 24/7 customer support. This isn’t bad at all!

In the meantime, if you need a more professional or developed site, you should check out the three paid-plan options they also offer.

Prices shown here are for yearly subscriptions that give you access to the free domain. In addition, there are monthly plans (which do not include a free domain or VIP packages), as well as a two-year plan (which has the same features as the annual fee).

There is no other builder that has such a low average price across all plans as it does. Strikingly offers a range of features, along with the perk of a free domain for as long as you stay with the company.

As a matter of fact, according to our research, it came up as the best value for money, making it a solid choice for those of you looking to embark on website building with less risk. Each plan offers a 14-day free trial, allowing you to see what works for you without having to commit long-term.

#6. Gator by HostGator

Perfect for Small Business

Pricing Range: $3.84 – $9.22 per month
HostGator Logo

Gator

Gator should be on your radar if you want to create a feature-rich website in just a few minutes. Aside from the customer-friendly pricing and intuitive e-commerce features, this website builder offers excellent tools for creating sites on desktops and mobile devices.

PROS

  • Well-designed Interface
  • Attractive, modern site templates
  • Allows you to easily switch themes
  • Royalty-free stock images
  • Excellent Prices
  • Lets you sell digital downloads

CONS

  • No Free Plan
  • Tiny app store

Gator is a famous online website builder made by HostGator, one of the biggest web hosting providers on the planet. The Gator builder is an all-in-one website building and hosting solution which makes it an ideal web builder for small businesses.

Gator is also easy good looking. It utilizes a progressive-reveal strategy, which means you consider more to be as you burrow down into the tools. What appears to be simple at first reveals lots of power and customization as you continue. The left rail has eight large icons: Elements, Pages, Sections, Design, Blog, Store, Stats, and Manage. At the point when clicked, these open flyout menus with many sub-decisions. For instance, the Elements entry offers buttons, files, maps, PayPal, navigation, Social, Text, and Videos, each with its own sub-decisions.

Gator is a completely hosted platform, so you don’t need to stress over the software, updates, or backups.

With this site builder, you have access to 200+ professional web design templates. Using the actual builder, you can configure simple customization options for each design.

With a simple point-and-click interface, you can edit any item on a page. Other common items such as photos, videos, photo galleries, text, columns, maps, and contact forms can be dragged and dropped as well.

Gator also offers a built-in stock photo library, so your website can feature beautiful pictures.

Your site’s custom domain name is included with all paid plans. Additionally, the eCommerce plan allows you to set up an online store and sell your products online.

Since Gator is a paid product, none of your data is sold or displayed on your website.

Features

Gator offers all of the features you’d expect from a website builder, as well as a few useful bonuses.

All pricing plans include SSL security certificates, mobile-responsive templates, social media integration, website analytics, and a domain name.

To explain exactly what these are:

SSL certificates ensure that your visitors can browse your site securely. The padlock icon is next to your URL signifies security. If you don’t have SSL, visitors will see the words ‘not secure’ next to your URL.

Mobile responsiveness implies your site will consequently adjust to fit different screen sizes. With an ever-increasing number of people browsing on mobiles, it’s extraordinary to realize that you don’t need to design a mobile-specific version of your site.

Social media integration allows you to implant content from the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram straightforwardly onto your website. Having social buttons, live feeds, and image galleries will assist with keeping your whole online presence connected.

Website analytics allow you to track significant data, similar to the number of site guests you’re getting. Having eyes on this allows you to perceive what little changes to your pages can mean for the number of people seeing it.

A domain name is basically your site’s name, as ‘digibozz.com’. Not having to buy a domain somewhere else will save you time and cash.

Design

As we addressed above, Gator gives you a collection of layouts to choose from. They’re separated into categories, like business and consultancy, beauty and fashion, and music and entertainment, making it simple to filter what you’re searching for.

One thing we would say is the variety of template designs is somewhat limited. They’re likewise a bit basic, which is fine for specific requirements, however not recommendable in case you’re in a creative industry like graphic design or photography. In case that is the situation, look at Squarespace.

Moving onto editing Gator’s templates, we’ve referenced that it is so easy to move things around and resize, however, there is something important to remember while adding new content.

Unlike Weebly and other website builders, with Gator, your content will not automatically change when you pop in a new element or feature. What will happen is your content will start to overlap or sit on top of each other. This means it is important to create space on your page before adding more things.

Overall, Gator’s templates are more than fit-for-reason and give you an incredible starting base to build off.

Pricing

Gator offers three different pricing plans that you can signup to for either a month, one year, or two-year time frame. Normally, the more you commit to Gator, the more cash you save every month.

As you can see, there’s not even close as much worth in Gator’s Premium plan as there is in the other two. In addition, you can access all of Gator’s features on its Starter plan – the only difference is you will not get priority support.

eCommerce plans are meant for those who wish to build an online store-basically, you will be able to sell goods on your site if you choose this plan. In that case, if selling online isn’t something you’re interested in, the smart decision is Gator’s Starter plan.

Gator at present doesn’t have a free plan or trial. Therefore, we’d propose taking out a Starter plan for one month – assuming you like what you get, you can commit to the two-year subscription for less expensive rates.

The first month will not cost you more than a takeout pizza, and it may give you the opportunity to experience the online world for yourself.

#7. Square Online

Integrates best with brick-and-mortar businesses

Pricing Range: Free- $72 per month (Billed Annually)
Logo of Square Online Website Builder - DigiBozz

Square Online

Square Online lets you create an eCommerce website quickly and easily. In terms of sales features and customer support, Square Online is strong, but its design flexibility isn't as wide as you may want. We take a closer look at Square Online's performance!

PROS

  • Simple, intuitive setup
  • Supports POS systems
  • Strong Uptime
  • Robust app store
  • Unlimited storage and bandwidth

CONS

  • Lacks integrated blog tool
  • No true image-editing tool

The Square online website builder is extremely simple to use, and setting up an account is a genuinely quick process.

Square Online’s sign-up process includes responding to a couple of questions regarding your business. When you have an account, it just gets easier. Keep in mind, this is Weebly’s software, and Weebly has the second-most elevated customer score of any builder we’ve put through user testing – so we’re not shocked by Square Online’s impressive ease of use.

It’s practically difficult to “screw up” while creating your online store with Square, and the setup process is truly fast. You’ll be given an overall layout to work with, which you can edit to include your company’s logo and your ideal colors and textual styles (fonts). You needn’t bother with any earlier specialized knowledge to begin selling on Square Online, yet that being said, the tradeoff is that the customization options can be limited.

In contrast to most website builders, Square Online doesn’t offer an enormous library of templates to look over. In case you’re really innovative or need to build something from the scratch, you may track down this somewhat disappointing.

In any case, there’s a lot to like about this methodology, as well. The principal selling point, according to our perspective, is that you’re building a site that considers the best e-commerce practice specifically for your industry.

Don’t get us wrong, we love seeing blog and portfolio websites with insane designs that push limits – however, we don’t see e-commerce websites as the place to try anything drastically unique. You need to make the user’s experience really simple and recognizable as possible, and a challenge or radical design could be everything necessary to stop a visitor from turning into a customer. This estimation was repeated in our testing, where one user felt that “having a basic template permits your products to truly stand out and so all the work. This likewise implies merchants can’t get the design wrong.”

In light of this, we think Square Online scores well for design. Your result follows best practices, however, there’s sufficient extension to put your own stamp on it. There’s a lot of blank areas, and the products are displayed in a truly visual manner.

The result is a clean site that looks great, and is not difficult to navigate – an eCommerce store we’d be pleased to publish.

Design

Square Online was specifically designed to offer business leaders an easy way to get online and sell products. Simple templates and themes are available for creating a store. Square Online, however, does not offer as many templates like some other companies.

As soon as you start using the platform, you are directed to an environment where you can design your site. If you’d like, you can select the preferred colors for your site (based on the brand of your business). Besides importing a logo, you can also switch layouts.

Despite the lack of templates, creating your own website is quite easy thanks to the many options available. You’ll see a similar interface in Square Online’s store environment if you’re familiar with Weebly’s website builder – since Square uses Weebly’s software.

Simple, compelling websites are encouraged by Square. To stand out online, you don’t need to push the boundaries of design. The appearance of your site is usually all your audience needs to see that you’re worth their attention.

As soon as you’ve selected a basic layout and a color palette that you like, Square allows you to build your site one page at a time. Page designs can be copied and pasted, and blocks can be added or removed depending on the modules required. If you have little or no experience in site-building, the building block method is a good way to get started.

There is no doubt that content blocks aren’t the best tool if you want a lot of freedom to customize your website’s appearance. It’s difficult to make changes to text box size or location, and there are many other changes you can’t make if you are trying to use a particular design image.

You will also need to add an existing Square block to your site to add new content. Website text boxes cannot be added just like that. The only way to make changes is to hire a developer or web designer since CSS and HTML cannot be edited.

Square Online’s designs and layouts are easy to use, and flexible, as you can change them as often as you like. Customers will be turned off by the lack of customization.

Pricing

Due to its very nature, the free plan represents a tremendous value. It’s extremely rare to be able to access these features without paying a penny. There are drawbacks in this case, such as a domain name that ends with .square.site and Square Online advertising placed on your site. You won’t be able to offer PayPal as an option either since you’ll be able to accept payments only through Square.

Having these details can make your business appear unestablished. It is therefore not advisable to stay on the free plan for long, despite its great value.

Our opinion is that Square Online’s Performance plan is their sweet spot. While the Professional plan is slightly more expensive, the $26/month price is still very reasonable. This price allows you to send abandoned cart emails as well as customer review emails, two really important tools for your business. Aside from printing shipping labels directly from your dashboard, you can also accept payments via PayPal.

Hold up if you are automatically drawn to the Premium plan due to its lower transaction fee!

If you are expecting to make enough money through your online store that paying an extra $46/month is worthwhile, then you’re doing great! However, Square Online will not be a good option for you.

#8. Web.com

Best for building a Simple Website

Pricing Range: $1.95- $3.95 per month
Web.com Website Builder Logo - DigiBozz

Web.com

Web.com is very similar to Weebly, it has an intuitive drag-and-drop editor with which you can modify any template available. It is also very affordable, and the support is excellent. However, I think Web.com's website builder excels for one particular use case: creating single-page websites and landing pages.

PROS

  • Cheap Intro Offer
  • Publish your site instantly
  • 24/7 phone support
  • Free Domain for one year

CONS

  • No building from scrtch
  • Limited eCommerce Features

Web.com is very similar to Weebly, it’s easy-to-use, has a drag-and-drop editor that lets you customize any available template according to your demands. And it comes at a great price and with great support.

However, I think Web.com’s website builder excels for one particular use case: creating single-page websites and landing pages.

I was blown away by how easy it was with Web.com. You start with one of their 126 templates and you just change the colors, swap out some imagery, change the copy, and then you add a custom form. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to create a stunning landing page.

You can make simple or temporary websites or create a large number of landing pages in a single sitting. In addition, they will be competitively priced.

Web.com offers simple drag-and-drop website building tools that are easy to use for non-techie business owners.

Their pre-built website templates come in thousands of gorgeous designs that you can easily customize to meet your branding needs.

There are all the powerful features you expect, such as photo galleries, videos, testimonial sliders, contact forms, maps, and social sharing buttons, among others.

The design of each page of your website can be customized individually, and you can add unlimited pages to your site. The templates are fully responsive and you can customize the layout for devices of any size (desktops, tablets, and smartphones).

Its e-commerce tools let you add up to 50 products, accept payments online securely, track orders, offer discounts, and more.

Each plan from Web.com comes with a free domain name, business email account, automatic backups, automatic website security, SEO tools, website analytics, and other helpful website tools.

Furthermore, they provide unlimited phone support and chat support so you can reach their web experts at any time.

In addition to offering website builders, they also provide services for custom web design, where an expert can create your entire site for a very reasonable rate.

Features

Mobile Optimization
Web.com does not offer a mobile website as a standalone service; it is only included as part of a full package. You can add and manage a mobile version of your website by paying $1 a month in addition to your existing package. This website builder may not be awesome for you if you need to have more control over the design of your mobile site or on the other hand if you anticipate a great deal of mobile traffic.

SEO Tools & Marketing
You can promote your website in Google’s search results by selecting from several SEO features on Web.com. With the most expensive package, you’ll receive regular SEO consultations from a dedicated SEO expert along with all SEO support and services. You can learn how to write stronger content or enroll in an SEO program to learn analytics, link building, and how to make sure you’re found by search engines with the help of the support team.

Social Media Tools
You can add links or share/like buttons to your social profiles using the basic tools on the main site builder menu. Supported social networks include Facebook, Google+, Linked In, and Twitter. Besides the featured buttons, you can also add images with links to your social networks, including YouTube, MySpace, and Pinterest. If a network isn’t listed, you can use a regular image instead.

E-commerce
A company that chooses the e-commerce package can easily set up a shop and sell up to 500 items. Payments can be made utilizing credit cards and PayPal.

Plug-ins and applications
Website builders by Web.com give a search box and map, just as other applications. The Web.com app store is not available, nor is one available for the Drupal website builder. However, you can add an HTML snippet for custom code to your page.

Pricing

The Web.com website starter package starts at $1.95 per month and includes their drag and drop website builder, hundreds of beautiful templates, thousands of stock images, and a free domain name.

Starting at $2.95 a month, the marketing plan includes additional SEO features designed to boost your rankings. Furthermore, they offer an eCommerce plan starting at $3.95 per month that has features such as accepting credit cards with a secure shopping cart, selling up to 50 products, tracking & managing orders, and more.

Create your own business website with Web.com’s site builder at a low price.

#9. Ucraft

Best for sites that need their images to stand out

Pricing Range: Free – $39 per month (Billed Annually)
ucraft Website Builder Logo - DigiBozz

ucraft

With Ucraft, you can build your own website for free, with a website domain name, and with SSL protection. You can create a rich, full-featured site in less time with the drag and drop interface and well-designed templates and stock images.

PROS

  • Stylish templates and powerful designer tools
  • Good for beginners with easy drag-and-drop editor.
  • Lotes of few features including Logo and Landing Page Maker.
  • Very Decent Free Package.
  • Integrated Google analytics and security means.
  • Expanded knowledge base.

CONS

  • Limited integrated options
  • No phone support
  • Not ideal for complex websited and specific requirements.

Ucraft is incredibly easy to use. We recommend starting with the free plan first so that you can figure out if Ucraft is for you – then picking a template.

Ucraft organizes its templates into categories, which makes it easy to find the best one for you. Their layout will be simple and (generally) come with features specific to that industry.

The easiest way to get started is to find an example design you like and paint over it with your own content.

When you have chosen one, you are prompted to enter the editor (as shown below). It’s time to get started.

In addition to the standard elements on your site, you can make use of contact forms, blogs, and newsletters, and customize their layouts so that they match the design of the site.

Editing Ucraft is a bit tricky compared to its rival Squarespace. A web page is created by stacking elements on top of each other in sections, also known as blocks. Each element must stay within its set slots, unlike Weebly, where you can move elements around freely.

After you understand its complexities, you’ll find it pretty straightforward to use. However, you may find the editor to be too rigid, and there’s a distinct lack of freedom.

Help & Support

In spite of the fact that Ucraft’s support staff is undoubtedly helpful, the ways of getting help are somewhat limited.

Ucraft has three ways to get help: an FAQ section, a help center, and a 24/7 live chat service.

  • FAQs: In a nutshell, it does what it says. Frequently asked questions are available on this section of the Ucraft website, and you may find the answer to your question here.
  • Help Center: This can be thought of as a virtual library. It provides step-by-step instructions on how to complete various tasks in the Ucraft editor.
  • Live Chat: Almost anything you need can be answered through our live chat, which is available 24/7. Response times can be a bit long, but the staff is helpful and knowledgeable in general.

The support and help offered by Ucraft are good, but not excellent. The platform does not go above and beyond what other platforms do. Ucraft provides phone and email support, in addition, to support provided by most website builders.

Features

Ucraft’s strengths lie in its features. To begin with, I’ll give you some examples of its more standard offerings:

Ucraft’s Core Features

  • Security: This can be achieved through the installation of an SSL certificate. The padlock icon next to the site’s URL indicates if the site has one. A secure SSL connection does more than let your visitors know that your website is trustworthy and reliable.
  • Support: Optimizing your site for search engines like Google and Bing is known as SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. The Ucraft SEO app is specifically designed for this purpose.
  • Analytics: By integrating Google Analytics with Ucraft, you don’t have to come up with its own, subpar analytics tool. A website visitor’s bounce rate (how fast a person leaves your site) can be tracked with this tool.

Ucraft features tools for editing images, video backgrounds, and social media integration to stay true to its first-person perspective.

The last one is the most important since it allows your website to be connected to whatever social media channels you have. It’s possible to integrate your Instagram feed into your Ucraft website if you’re a photographer.

Third-party integration is another thing Ucraft does well. When you are in a creative field you will be attracted to its seamless integration with Apple iTunes and Eventbrite.

Finally, Ucraft offers a free logo maker. You don’t need to worry about branding since Ucraft can handle it for you. After answering a few simple questions, you’ll be able to create your own logo.

Where are the missing features in Ucraft?

The situation isn’t always rosy, however. The drag-and-drop builder Ucraft may market itself as is not as pure as Weebly. This is more like Squarespace or Weebly, where you build sections of a website separately.

Furthermore, there is no members-only area, making it impossible to hide certain parts of your site from the public. This is not ideal if your goal is to have a sign-in area for customers. Our recommendation would be to check out Weebly if you will be inconvenienced by that.

Domains must also be paid for upfront. The free first year of a website builder seems innocuous, but it occurs quite often.

Design

Ucraft provides 63 template options in total. Although the number of options available isn’t as high as it once was, there’s still enough there to help you become more successful.

Ucraft templates are all fully mobile responsive, so they will adapt to new screen sizes automatically. You will not have to touch a thing!

Furthermore, it puts a large emphasis on images, so they speak for themselves. The templates are therefore well suited to sites with lots of high-quality images.

It is always possible to preview the available options if you’re struggling to pick one. Using one click, you can preview how your content will appear on each dummy website.

Pricing

Ucraft offers four subscription plans that cost anywhere from free to $39/month.

Here are our plans, some information about them, and suggestions for who each one would be suitable for.

Free Website

Right – there is no cost to you! In addition to all the templates, you get access to all Ucraft’s features. Freebies aren’t without their catch, however.

If you choose .ucraft.com as your domain name, it looks hardly professional. This plan is for anyone who needs a personal website, such as a blog or wedding website. Businesses or freelancers should not use it.

Pro Website

Many businesses will use this plan as an entry point. You’ll also have access to Ucraft’s apps and features, rather than just be snubbed of the tacky branding.

Ecommerce is included in this. There are 50 different products you can sell for $10/month. A multilingual website can also be translated into another language.

We would consider the pro plan to be for small, service-based companies. Those who need a Pro Website plan include barbers, photographers, and trainers.

Pro Shop

Rather than just creating a website, here you will want to turn to an online store. Besides letting you sell more than 1,000 products, Ucraft lets you reverse charge VAT, edit invoices, and enable discount coupons – all for $21/month.

It’s possible to manage your store through an app, so you can watch over everything. This plan is available to those who have small businesses, such as those selling a few products. People who sell prints like artists and photographers will find the plan especially useful.

BigCommerce

Ucraft’s plan to build eCommerce websites is not the same as BigCommerce’s eCommerce solution. Pro Shop has no limit on the number of products it can sell, which is the main difference between BigCommerce and Pro Shop.

Additionally, you can sell via social media as well as popular marketplaces, such as eBay and Facebook. A platform that can keep up with medium-sized eCommerce businesses is what this plan is for.

#10. Webflow

Best to build a detailed website

Pricing Range: Free – $36 per month (Billed Annually)
webflow Website Builder Logo - DigiBozz

Webflow

The Webflow website builder isn't like the other ones. Firstly, it eliminates developers taking website designs from designers. Hence, it's the perfect tool for designers and advanced users who want to make their own websites. Magical is the feeling of using Webflow. Feel free to squint. Yes, I understand. The software just seems magical to me.

PROS

  • Lots of freedom to customize your site and access to your code
  • Excellent range of templates, suitable for eCommerce and dynamic content
  • Great for client-work
  • Plenty of support materials
  • Guaranteed Uptime of 99.99%

CONS

  • Not beginner-friendly
  • Confusing pricing
  • Limited built-in functions and integrations

Anybody can build their own website with a website builder, without requiring any programming knowledge.

Back in the days when web developers built websites for clients using traditional platforms like WordPress and Drupal, traditional platforms were commonly used. But today, website builders such as Zyro, Weebly, and Squarespace make it possible for anyone to build their own website.

We thought we would give Webflow a try since it has clear credentials and see why all the fuss was happening.

There are advantages and disadvantages to using Webflow. Although it is a website builder, it includes some customization and power normally associated with other platforms, such as WordPress.

Webflow is popular among web designers because of this reason. You can create an extremely customizable platform if you don’t want to worry about coding.

Ease of Use

It takes about a minute for Webflow to do a good job of integrating you into the platform once you sign up. When you feel comfortable, go ahead and start working on a design right away, but anyone who is new to Webflow should take the tutorial first.

Webflow Editor

Once you’ve completed the tutorial and selected a template, you’ll enter the editor. Webflow’s editor just happens to look terrifyingly similar to Photoshop, so don’t worry if you think it has opened accidentally.

Like Photoshop, you can choose from a variety of design options. It might feel like a candy store for web designers, but the general public may be intimidated.

The onboarding tutorial doesn’t immediately explain how to do a lot of things, even though there’s a lot to learn. The Webflow creators explain that you should treat your website like a series of boxes.

Webflow’s Box Model creates a box for each element of your site and overlays them one on top of the other. The layout of your site is comprised of graphic blocks, text boxes, and button blocks.

As you approach your website in this way, it becomes easier to visualize what you want. However, editing it is still a challenge. We recommend learning Webflow before you start building your website if you’re new to website building.

Design

With Webflow, you can choose from over 100 templates, including 40 free ones.

There is a way to filter templates into industries, free/premium, and e-commerce. Finding the right template this way is incredibly easy. To see which of the designs supports dynamic content, you can preview them before making a decision.

With Webflow’s responsive templates, users can choose the screen size appropriate to their device, which means their site will automatically adjust to fit their viewing device.

There is a brief description of each template that explains what it’s best suited for and what options you have. The extended template descriptions in Webflow are a nice touch compared to most website builders that offer responsive templates.

Depending on the template, prices range from $19 to $149. Typically, they cost either $49 or $79, which may sound steep, but when viewed as a one-time investment, it’s actually quite reasonable.

In terms of quality of design, Webflow’s templates compete well with Squarespace, the market leader. You can customize them to your liking.

Features

When compared to other website builders, Webflow generally falls short on features. Webflow’s options can be frustrating compared to Zyro, Weebly, and Squarespace.

One example is social media integration. Embedding live feeds or linking to Instagram proves much more challenging than linking to Facebook and Twitter.

To find out what is and isn’t possible, you can take a look at Webflow University, Webflow’s help center. Saves you from having to waste time trying to locate a feature you thought was obvious.

There are a lot of advanced features that aren’t included in Webflow. They are instead part of your website as integrations

App stores are available for most of the top website builders. The same applies to Webflow integrations, except third parties build addons, not Webflow.

We’ll look at what Webflow offers you when building an online store or a regular website.

Webflow’s Core Features

Parallax Scrolling, Animations, and Interactions

A lot of value is placed on design at Webflow. You can add a variety of quirky movements to keep up with modern trends on the web. It’s easy to create cool things with Webflow, such as parallax scrolling, multi-hued animations, and micro-interactions.

Backups and Security

The security aspects of Webflow are equally important (but slightly more boring). You’ll also receive a free SSL certificate along with automatic backups – so you can restore your site to the last saved point in the event that something goes wrong. Visitors can trust your site with their personal information when this is implemented.

Advanced SEO Control

Optimizing your site to rank higher in search engine result pages is known as search engine optimization (SEO). There are many platforms that allow you to add/edit metadata, create image alt text, and set up keyword search. In addition to sitemaps, Webflow offers 301 redirects that can be customized.

Webflow’s Ecommerce Features

Multiple Payment Options

Websites with Webflow can accept standard credit and debit cards through Stripe, Apple Pay, and PayPal payments.

Automatic Tax Calculations

As soon as a customer reaches the checkout, Webflow calculates sales tax and VAT automatically and adds them. It can save you some time if you don’t have to type in all the tax brackets and change the VAT costs each time.

Facebook and Instagram Integration

Connect Facebook and Instagram shops to your store. Having a cross-selling strategy for your website and social channels not only makes cross-selling easier but also allows you to run smarter marketing campaigns.

Pricing

Webflow’s pricing may be another reason some people don’t like it – it is fairly expensive!

Webflow’s prices are in line with its reputation as a more sophisticated website builder that offers greater creative control to users. Unless someone knows how to use half the things they’re paying for, they won’t benefit from those services…

Presently, there are six price plans offered by Webflow: three for websites, and three for online stores.

Webflow’s ‘Basic’ plan is $12/month for you to upload your website online. So while you can build your own website for free, you will not be able to publish it online for free. Sites with only a few standard elements, like image galleries, contact forms, and menus, may find this template suitable.

Content-driven blogs and sites utilizing the CMS plan are the targets for this plan, while businesses looking to expand and market themselves are the target of the Business plan.

The eCommerce plans that Webflow offers range from selling a few products on the side (Standard plan) to selling bulk purchases efficiently (Plus plan) to marketing and managing your products globally (Advanced plan).

The company also offers Webflow for Enterprise, which can be ordered based on a quote. We will assist you in creating your website for you and guide you through the whole process. You can take advantage of this service if you are a large organization.

#11. Jimdo

Best for Cheap Ad-Free Plan

Pricing Range: Free – $15 per month (Billed Annually)
Jimdo Website Builder Logo - DigiBozz

Jimdo

Jimdo lets you make ad-free websites for the cheapest price, but you certainly get what you pay for. The majority of our users have found it to be relatively easy to use, but only about 56% of our users would recommend it to a friend. From the beginning, it felt quite rigid and clunky, said, one customer.

PROS

  • Cheap to make your website ads-free
  • Unlimited storage capacity on Business Plan or Higher
  • Help and support is concise and to the point

CONS

  • Poorly designed templates with limited choice
  • No restore options
  • Editing and arranging elements on your website can feel clunky

With Jimdo, you can make your own website from scratch, and everything you need is provided. From business sites to blogs and eCommerce stores, everything can be built without coding knowledge!

At Website Builder Expert, we’re in the business of figuring out what makes website builders like Jimdo so great.

Rather than you having to go through all the testing and researching, we did it for you.

As we describe in this article, we will discuss the most important aspects of creating your own website. There’s no better way to see how Jimdo compares to the rest of the pack.

Difference between Jimdo Creator and Jimdo Dolphin

Create a website using Jimdo Creator or Jimdo Dolphin, two of the options for creating websites with Jimdo.

A main feature of Jimdo is its Creator platform. It’ll feel like what you’re used to from website builders.

An extensive editing interface is provided by Jimdo Creator. Adding content and resizing things is very easy. You can also drag and drop different elements around.

Jimdo Dolphin is an artificial design intelligence (ADI) solution. We’ll create the website for you after you answer some questions about what you want!

The two approaches are great for building a website, but each has its own unique requirements.

If you are in control, Jimdo Creator is for you; you can determine the look and feel of your site.

Jimdo Dolphin is a lot quicker. On your new site, you will be able to import content from existing social media and existing websites. However, you can only edit a limited amount of content.

The focus of this review is on Jimdo Creator.

Ease of Use

Building a website with a website builder is generally extremely simple. There is no coding involved, and most of them work with a drag-and-drop interface, similar to PowerPoint.

Jimdo is no exception. The interface is simple to navigate, clean, and clear.

Templates are broken up by industries, so you begin by selecting one. It’s time to edit!

Simply click how you would like to edit a section, and type (as can be seen on the right).

It takes just a couple of clicks to resize and position an image. The ‘plus’ icon lets you select another element from the list, such as a contact form.

Also, Jimdo’s ease of use needs to be compared to other website builders.

A group of people built a website using Jimdo and then scored how easy certain tasks were to complete.

As part of our testing, we compared their scores and quotes with those of all other top website builders we found.

The ease of use of Jimdo came out about average. Jimdo’s restrictive template design has left some people frustrated while others find it straightforward.

It was easy to add your own content to a template, but going against the design that was already set up was a challenge.

Website building is easy with Jimdo. Your content can be inserted into already-made templates. You may end up tearing your hair out if you try to change the template’s design!

Customer satisfaction

We asked Jimdo users if they would recommend it to a friend, and 56% said yes.

By itself, this statistic illustrates how divided people are on Jimdo. Despite its simplicity, it’s limited and basic.

Wix is the best option if you want to build a website without limitations. Weebly offers total creative control since everything and anywhere can be dragged anywhere.

Its templates are the best in the industry, and its design oozes elegance and class, making it ideal for creative types.

Features

Jimdo offers a wide selection of features and apps to help you make your website come alive.

When you click on ‘add element’ in the editor, all the features that you can embed will appear:

Your website can easily have any feature you want to be added to it using this feature.

Search for a POWr plugin if there’s something specific you need that Jimdo doesn’t offer. POWr offers plugins for Jimdo websites in partnership with an independent company.

There are plugins for almost everything you can imagine. While some of these require coding skills to use, it is important to note that some will not.

The website building app Jimdo has some pretty cool tools to help and enhance your website in addition to its features and apps. We’ve highlighted some of the most important below.

Domains

Jimdo offers free custom domains for one year as part of any premium plan.

With Jimdo’s free plan, you get your own sub-domain, but it’s the tacky ‘.jimdofree.com’ that hangs off the end of your URL. Not exactly a professional option, then!

Jimdo charges $80 annually to renew its custom domains – more than any of our other editors.

A domain can be transferred from another website to Jimdo if you already have one. Their current list of supported domains includes: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .eu, .de, .at, .be, .co.uk, .ch .fr, .nl, .com.mx, .es, .it, .pl, .com, .pl, or .se.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

If we can’t find the website, then it’s no good building it, right?

SEO plays a role in that. Search engines like Google prefer websites with excellent search engine optimization.

You can boost your website’s ranking with Jimdo’s handy tools.

Meta descriptions and titles can be edited and custom URLs can be created. Alternate text can be added to images. Third-party apps are even supported by Jimdo, which can enhance your site’s search engine optimization.

Help and Support

The Jimdo support team can be reached via email, social media, its knowledge base, or FAQs.

However, Jimdo does not offer phone support or live chat, nor the ability to restore sites. You will, however, receive clear, concise, and to-the-point answers.

Particularly useful is its knowledge base. Your problems will be solved with a combination of text, images, and videos.

Pricing

Currently, Jimdo offers five different pricing plans that start from free and can reach a monthly price of $40.

You can get started on Jimdo using the Free plan. The website builder has a 30-day free trial period so that you can evaluate it. A premium plan is recommended beyond that.

In addition to a subdomain, Jimdo advertising appears in your website’s footer with the Free plan. It’s fine when you’re exploring Jimdo, but it’ll look tacky when you build a serious site!

One of the most popular plans on Jimdo’s Business plan. In terms of bandwidth and storage, you get unlimited access. Furthermore, it is also the cheapest plan offered by the platform that enables you to start selling online.

As always, we recommend that you try your site before buying, but if you want to put your site live immediately after you finish building it, you should upgrade to Jimdo’s premium plan.

#12. Unbounce

Best Drag-and-Drop Website Builder

Pricing Range: Free – $15 per month (Billed Annually)
Unbounce Website Builder Logo - DigiBozz

Unbounce

Jimdo lets you make ad-free websites for the cheapest price, but you certainly get what you pay for. The majority of our users have found it to be relatively easy to use, but only about 56% of our users would recommend it to a friend. From the beginning, it felt quite rigid and clunky, said, one customer.

PROS

  • Easy to use
  • User-friendly drag-and-drop builder
  • 100% mobile responsive
  • 100+ customizable templates for pages, popups, and sticky bars
  • Customer support available via chat

CONS

  • Limited conversations and traffic could be a deal breaker
  • limited in-app integrations

Unbounce has a top-rated landing page builder software that helps you create beautiful landing pages that convert.

Unbounce’s biggest advantage is that you don’t need to be an expert designer or programmer to design your pages – you just need to drag and drop the elements.

Additionally to its landing page-building capabilities, Unbounce provides popup and sticky bar builder tools for conversion optimization.

The purpose of this Unbounce review is to detail all its features and inform you what you need to know to make an informed decision. The tool is available for a free trial for 14 days if you register through the link below. You can read this review and then explore the tool.

Because of that, let’s explore Unbounce’s features, which will enable you to decide whether this landing builder tool is right for your business.

Features

Using Unbounce’s powerful designing and conversion optimization tools will increase your sales and boost your return on investment.

Following are some of the features this platform has to offer:

  • Landing Pages
  • Accelerated Mobile Pages
  • Dynamic text replacement
  • Popups and sticky bars
  • A/B Testing
  • Smart Traffic
  • Reports and Analytics

Integrated Capabilities

To streamline the whole customer journey within a company ecosystem, online marketers are required to use multiple tools and software. It is important to make sure that the tool you choose integrates seamlessly with your existing systems.

Unbounce, on the other hand, takes care of that for you. The app supports both in-app integrations and Zapier integrations.

As the landing page builder Unbounce is primarily used for lead generation, then I assume it’s for that purpose?

Because of this, Unbounce provides seamless in-app integration with major CRMs and email marketing programs.

Alternatively, there are third-party tools that incorporate Unbounce with their own integration. There are several examples such as LiveChat, Outgrow, Hotjar, Crazyegg, and more.

The integration options offered by Unbounce are extensive. As for in-app integration tools, I hope the list keeps growing because most small businesses can’t afford systems like Zapier and Automate.io.

Features

Landing pages

Anyone can create a landing page with Unbounce’s drag-and-drop editor, even without coding skills.

Starting is easy with hundreds of templates to choose from and customize. In addition to cloning and editing entire pages, modifying several pages simultaneously, copying and pasting from one page to another, and saving your own templates for future use, you can speed up the design process even more.

The landing page builder on Unbounce provides an unparalleled level of performance. I have not noticed any lag when using Unbounce, unlike most page builders that lag and restrict your options.

Here is a link where you can try it out for yourself.

Pop-ups and sticky bars

In addition to landing pages, Unbounce offers a pop-up and sticky bar builder, which can be used to increase conversions. Although I have discussed the pros and cons of pop-ups on this blog before, there’s no denying that they can increase conversion rates when used effectively.

To avoid any Google search penalties, I suggest desktop visitors use exit-intent pop-ups, while mobile visitors use sticky bars. This will protect mobile visitors and protect the mobile experience.

Last but not least, don’t keep showing the same pop-up to visitors who have already converted.

A/B testing

You can easily optimize your landing pages and pop-ups for maximum performance with Unbounce’s A/B testing features offered on all plans.

A/B testing allows you to set up multiple tests on your website in a matter of clicks to test our entire site, certain elements – like your call to action – or smaller variations within the same site.

It’s so frustrating to discover a landing page builder doesn’t offer A/B testing and requires a more expensive plan for the feature.

With Unbounce, you don’t have to worry about this.

Report & analytics

Your Unbounce landing pages and A/B tests are tracked so that you can see how well they are performing. It’s all available in the Unbounce dashboard, but integrating Google Analytics will yield the best results.

Using Google Analytics to track your website tracking ID is all you really need to do. You will find it within the Script Manager, which you’ll find under Settings in Unbounce.

If you have integrated Google Analytics, you can establish event measurement to track users’ actions, including clicks on your call-to-action and other conversion goals.

As a result, Google Analytics has not been able to identify our Unbounce landing pages. Though we found a solution, integration with GA wasn’t quite as smooth as the documentation suggested.

Perhaps your chances of success will be better.

Dynamic Text Replacement

The Dynamic Text Replacement feature allows you to customize landing pages according to your needs. Based on the keywords they type into your PPC ads, the feature matches the copy on your landing page.

By incorporating dynamic keyword insertion in Google Ads, paid search campaigns can be created that match user intent at every point of interaction. By boosting relevance, you increase the likelihood that your messages will be read and converted.

In Unbounce, you can set up Dynamic Text Replacement by simply selecting the text you wish to replace and clicking the Dynamic Text button. After that, you define the dynamic text that will replace your default and confirm the default text that will show when Dynamic Text is not active.

The rest will be taken care of by Unbounce.

Pricing

You can use Unbounce at any stage of your business growth with just four pricing levels: Launch, Optimize, Accelerate and Scale.

We charge customers based on conversion rate, unique visitors, and a few advanced features. Accordingly, your lead generation plan must match your conversion goals.

Based on conversions and the number of unique visitors allowed, here are the breakdowns of the different plans –

  • Launch plans start at $80/month, allowing for up to 500 conversions and 20,000 unique visitors.
  • With the Optimize plan, you get 1000 conversions and 30,000 unique visitors for $120/month.
  • Accelerate plans start at $200/month and allow up to 2000 conversions and 40,000 unique visitors per month.
  • Scale plans start at $300/month for up to 3000 conversions and 50,000 unique visitors.

In spite of the limited traffic and lead generation, what I like about the Unbounce pricing model is the freedom to experiment with copy and layout for unlimited landing pages, popups, and sticky bars.

Other Good Website Builders

The 12 best website builders have been presented to you so far. The question is, what about the platforms that did not quite make the cut? Here are some other options you may want to consider:

What Are the Best Ways to Pick a Website Builder?

With the knowledge of these top 10 website builders, you can create a website that suits your needs. Is there anything left that stumps you? Why should you choose one of these builders?

Sadly, we cannot read your mind and tell you what to do straight through the screen. You are the only one who knows what kind of site you want to build, your specific needs, whether you’ll sell products, blog, or display creative work.

You can, however, use our handy guides to find a perfect website builder – keep reading for some helpful hints…

#1. Take Advantage of Free Trials and Free Plans

On most of our lists, you can either try the tool for free or sign up for a free plan. To get a good sense of whether this website creator is right for you, build a website, and check out:

  • Here’s how easy it is
  • How long it takes
  • What you like and don’t like
  • What you’d like to change
  • Whether you’re happy with the site you create as an example

If you’re interested in more builders, try them out. Having a comparison to look up to is still valuable, even if the first attempt is perfect.

#2. You need to figure out what you want to accomplish with a website builder.

Although it seems obvious, a lot of people choose a website builder because of its marketing or because of freebies. So far, it’s safe to say that this is not a reasonable method of choosing a website builder.

Having read this article, you’ve already taken the first step – the next step is to decide what your website’s purpose will be, and then narrow your builder list accordingly. Avoid being swayed by high sale prices or features that you might not need!

You have several options if you want to start a portfolio website, such as Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, and Duda. Make sure you try them all and then decide which is your favorite.

By ignoring other builders (such as WordPress.com), you will find it much easier to select your best website builder. In the end, even if the other features are great, the specific needs you have will not be satisfied by them.

#3. Your budget needs to be considered.

There’s no point in overspending on your website. Review the price plans of each builder, then determine how much you can afford to spend and whether you would rather pay per month or upfront (monthly prices tend to be higher, but offer greater flexibility).

Make sure you don’t underfund your website – you should always hire a builder who is within your budget. Free plans are available, but they lack the features your site needs to live on in the long run.
